You will know that the challenge is present when students:

• either start forming cultural clusters and refuse to collaborate within the classroom
• or have recurring miscommunication/conflicts with peers from another cultural background. 

This can also be related to lack of collaboration or intercultural communication skills which manifests in conflict.
